Haridwar, 21 May | In the AIU Zonal Woodball Women-Men competition organized by JNCT Professional University, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh under the auspices of the Association of Indian Universities, Patanjali University stood first overall while LNCT University had to settle for second place.
For the first time, 550 men and women players from 35 universities participated in the four-day AIU Zonal Woodball Competition organized by JNCT Professional University. Madhya Pradesh Director General of Police Shri Shelesh Singh Chief in the final of sports competition be present as a guest. In the men's category, Kartikeya, Dhruv Dev, Sudhanshu, Sachin, Deepak and Hemant and in the women's category, Aditi Sati, Riya, Sneha, Anushka, Samriddhi Thapliyal and Niharika brought pride to Patanjali University by winning gold medals in the team event. Besides, Riya and Anushka also won gold medal in the doubles competition. On the return of the winning team to Patanjali, the Vice Chancellor of Patanjali University, Revered Acharya Balkrishna Ji Maharaj, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahavir Aggarwal, Registrar Dr. Praveen Punia, Dean of Physical Education and Sports Department Dr. Sadhvi Devpriya, Deputy Registrar Dr. Nirvikar, Dean of Physical Education and Sports Department Prof. Om Narayan Tiwari, department in-charge Dr. Bhagirathi, sports officer Dr. Kapil Shastri, Dr. Shivkumar, Dr. Akur and Dr. Sandeep Manikpuri etc. for the upcoming competitions like Asian Beach Games 2025 held in Goa and 38 National Games, Uttarakhand.
