MoU signed between Patanjali Research Foundation and SRM Center for Clinical Trials and Research, Chennai

 Haridwar, 03 May |  A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Patanjali Research Foundation (PRF) and SRM Center for Clinical Trials and Research (CCTR), Chennai for conducting clinical trial studies for Ayurvedic medicines. On this occasion, Acharya Balkrishna, General Secretary of Patanjali Yogpeeth on behalf of Patanjali Research Foundation and Dr. Anurag Varshney, Chief Scientist of Patanjali Research Institute and Dr. Nitin M. Nagarkar, Dr. Satyajit on behalf of SRM Center for Clinical Trials and Research, Chennai. Mahapatra and Dr. Saraswati Tripathi were present.
On the occasion of signing of the MoU, Acharya Balkrishna ji said that this MoU is a milestone in the history of Ayurveda will prove to be a stone. He said that this joint effort will play an important role in the revival of Ayurveda. He said that this joint effort will play an important role in bringing evidence based medicines made from Ayurveda based on Indian Sanatan Knowledge to the world stage through clinical trials. These two leading institutions of India will present the efficacy of Ayurvedic medicines to the world.
Dr. Nitin M. Nagarkar, Dean Research, SRM CCTR, expressed happiness that this agreement will play an important role in giving global recognition to the Indian ancient medical science, Ayurveda.
On this occasion, very senior professor of clinical research, Dr. Y. Of. Gupta and Dr. Anurag Srivastava were also present. He wished both the institutions well for moving forward together. Expressing happiness, Dr. Anurag Varshney, Head of Patanjali Research Foundation, said that with the help of this MoU, both the institutions will together present the effectiveness of Ayurvedic medicines to the world in an evidence-based manner and prove their usefulness in various diseases.
